REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

 

The "Ultra Trail Via degli Dei" runs over trails and paths in demanding conditions in mountainous areas, where weather conditions can change rapidly. 

Given the elevation variations, and the length of the trail, it is recommended that participants take part after having tested their physical competence and endurance abilities in competitions over distances of at least fifty (50) kilometers.

 

In order to have their name included on the list of participants it is a mandatory precondition for participants to produce a valid medical certificate confirming their fitness and physical competence to take part in competitive sports. This certificate must be issued and recognized in their country of residence.

 

To complete the registration, the medical certificate should be sent via e-mail to the address info@ultratrailviadeglidei.com no later than 30 April 2017. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Beyond this date and in the absence of the same, the athlete will not have the right to any refund.

 

 

REGISTRATION PROCESS

 

Registrations will open on 1 June 2016 and close on 30 April 2017, unless the maximum number of participants is reached beforehand. 

 

The registration process will require participants to:

 

1. Copy of their ID card;

2. Copy of the Regulations form countersigned by the participant;

3. A copy of the Declares countersigned by the participant;

4. A copy of their medical certificate;

5. A copy of the bank transfer receipt.

 

The payment must be made by bank transfer to the following bank account:

REGISTRATION FEES

 

Registrations made between:

  • 1 June 2016 to 28 February 2017 : €100 - EXPIRED

  • 1 March 2017 to 31 March 2017 : €125 - EXPIRED

  • 1 April 2017 to 30 April 2017: €150 - EXPIRED

 

The fees cover:

  • Runner number tag (x2, one that must be worn and clearly visible on the chest or stomach and another that should be attached to the backpack);

  • Goodie bag;

  • Assistance and supplies;

  • Transportation of personal bag from Bologna to Fiesole (Florence).

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

 

The maximum number of permitted participants is (500) five hundred.
The organizers reserve the right to decrease or increase the number of participants.

 

 

CANCELLATION

​

In the event you are unable to participate, the cancellation must be communicated via e-mail to the address info@ultratrailviadeglidei.com.

​

A participant will be able to claim back 50% of the registration fee only in the following circumstances:

​

  • Cancellation of the race because of a force majeure event no later than fifteen (15) days before the day of the event.

  • Cancellation due to an injury or serious illness: the cancellation request must be submitted together with a medical certificate confirming the injury / illness, before the day of the event (but no later than 30 April 2017).

  • Cancellation for other reasons: the cancelling participant is required to substitute another participant. The replacement procedure is handled exclusively by the organizers and they must be notified by no later than 30 April 2017. Exchanging or transferring the personal number tag is not permitted.

A postponement of the registration fee to the following year is permitted if carried out before 30 April by sending an e-mail with the request to the address info@ultratrailviadeglidei.com.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: In case of a cancellation or interruption of the race due to changes in the weather conditions or for other reasons beyond the organizers’ control, the participant shall not be entitled to have the registration fee refunded.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITY

 

By signing the Declares and the Regulation form, participants confirm their full acceptance of the rules contained in those documents and any changes made to them.

 

By registering for this event the participant exempts the organizers from any liability, both civil and criminal, for damages to persons and / or property caused by or derived from the participant.
